Dr Jackie L. Jacobs was born and raised in Davenport Iowa, and graduated from Central High School in 2000. After high school she was attending college to become a nurse, following in the footsteps of her grandmother and aunt. To help put her through school she was waiting tables and began experiencing severe back pain, neck pain and headaches from carrying heavy trays. She was referred to a chiropractor and had such amazing results that she decided to change career paths. Shortly thereafter she enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic in her hometown of Davenport Iowa. It was at Palmer that Dr. Jacobs developed a passion for nutrition due to diet related health problems. While at Palmer she had the opportunity to take a humanitarian trip to Madagascar to care for many underprivileged people. After graduation Dr Jacobs practiced in Minnesota as an associate doctor, and in Johnston as an independent contractor. However, she has always had the dream of running her own clinic and now gets to fulfill that dream in Perry. Her desire is to educate the community about the importance of a wellness lifestyle, prevention and natural healing and wants to ensure that people of all ages are receiving the benefits of chiropractic care. She hopes to further her education in nutrition, internal disorders and neurology so that she may help more people. Dr Jacobs is an animal lover and outdoor enthusiast and is excited to be a part of the great community of Perry and will serve it to the best of her ability.
